Our best-selling chipper shredder has been redesigned for even better performance and durability. A more powerful engine produces faster and smoother chipping and shredding. Larger hopper openings make feeding material easier and faster. And a beefier steel frame ensures stability and long life.
Easy to Maneuver!
A sturdy, easy-to-grab tubular handlebar makes maneuvering the PRO 420 around the jobsite (or in and out of storage) a breeze. Just grab the handlebar and tilt it back toward you and roll easily on the big 14" wheels. In working position it is supported by the "kickstand".
Oversized Hoppers
The shredder hopper opening is 19.6" x 13.3", for easily dropping in leaves and prunings by the armload. The chipper hopper (9.4" x 8.6") will accept branches up to 4" in diameter.
Tubular Handlebar for Easy Maneuvering
Easy to grasp (even with gloves on) for smooth maneuvering around the jobsite or in and out of storage. A convenient foot-plate, below the recoil, gives you control as you tilt the machine toward you or "park" it in operating position.
"Kickstand" Provides Stable Operation
Holds the chipper shedder at the correct angle for working and makes it easy to transition between travel and work modes.
DR OHV Engine
The 9.2 HP OHV engine (301cc) has plenty of power for processing hardwood branches and churning through armloads of yard and garden waste. Available with manual- or electric-start.
Pro-Spec™ Chipper Knife
Made of high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel, our knives hold an edge longer than those on "bargain" chippers. Still, as with any cutting tool, keeping a sharp edge is important for maintaining peak performance. We recommend keeping an extra on hand so you can minimize downtime.
