Leaf & Lawn Vac Story >>
"This machine enables me to do the job... "
I am 59 and my "leaf patrol" has graduated from college, gotten married and no longer live at home. I have had the commercial Leaf VAC with electric starter for about 3 full seasons now. This machine enables me to do the job single-handedly that 4 or 5 of us used to do.
I won't go so far as to say I am the envy of the neighborhood, but I sure get longing stares from passersby when I'm cutting leaf-clear lines around my otherwise leaf-covered yard. To beat all, most of the time I can get it done in one load, not having to stop and disgorge my mulched cargo. Most of the time I do not have to wait for the city's leaf pickup days as someone who obviously is harvesting a compost heap comes by under the cloak of darkness and perloins my curbside heap of bags!

"I LOVE IT, and won't be with out it."
I've spent countless days raking, bagging and dragging leaves before I purchased the DR Leaf & Lawn Vacuum to tow behind my tractor. This is the best investment I have made for my home and my back. It is dependable and tough. My neighbors that have other systems have stated to me they wish they had bought the DR after having trouble with theirs. I LOVE IT, and won't be with out it. Thank You DR!

"The quality of the machine is top notch..."
I have about an acre to mow with leaf dropping trees all around. Been looking at the leaf vacs available locally as well as the DR. Wanted one for a few years but the cost was hard to justify for seasonal use. Now that I have it I wish I'd bought it sooner!! What used to take hours now takes me minutes by comparison! I can do it alone. My compost is going to be much faster to use and better to boot! The quality of the machine is top notch and it was a no brainer to unpack. I would definately recommend DR Power equipment.

"I am so pleased with this company and their product..."
I have a lot of pine trees and when I use my DR Leaf & Lawn Vacuum, it handles all the pine cones, sticks and pine needles with ease. I was very impressed with the easy of maneuverability and how closely I can work next to the trees. The suction is so powerful that I no longer have the need for lift blades on my mower to ensure the debris is picked up. I can use my mulching blades all year round and with the powerful suction the DR Leaf & Lawn Vac provides, it is the perfect solution to not having to purchase two different kinds of blades for my mower. Also, I was amazed at how well the company stands behind its warranty. Due to my own negligence, I broke off a couple of the rubber toggles by snagging them on my chain length fence. I called the company to order replacement parts, expecting to have to pay for these parts and I was amazed they were covered under the warranty and were shipped to me, free of charge, and I received the parts within two (2) days. They even sent me a couple of extras. About six (6) months later, I made the same stupid mistake and once again I called to order replacement parts and once again I had the same pleasant experience of being covered under the warranty. Not only is this a great machine, which has lessened my work time greatly, it is made in the USA! I loveeeee my DR Leaf & Lawn Vac. I am so pleased with this company and their product that I intend to purchase one of their new self feed chippers. I can honestly say that my experience with this product and this company has been uniquely satisfying.

"It is a great piece of equipment!"
I live in beautiful Geauga County, on 3.5 heavily wooded acres. I dreaded fall because I knew I would spend the most pretty season of the year sucking up leaves using an off brand 22" walk behind lawn vacuum.
I began gathering information about the DR Tow-Behind Lawn Vacuum, all the manufactured specifications, leaf capacity, and the shredder capabilities, and decided that this is what I needed to get my work done during the Fall, quickly and eficiently, so I could enjoy the season.
After making the purchase, I knew I was going to get the job of leaf pick up done a lot quicker, but I never imagined, that it would save me the time, and the physical labor that it did.
I did some quick calculations and determined that the year before I purchased the DR Lawn Vacuum, I spent every bit of 40 hours, probably more than that, picking up leaves. And that was doing it every night and on the weekends.
This year, I picked up leaves 4 times, and I know I didn't spend more than 20 hours doing it.
It was so easy, so efficient, any one who can drive a tractor, could have done what I did!
It is a great piece of equipment! And I would recommend it to anyone who has a lot of leaves, and would rather enjoy the Fall Season, than spend it picking up leaves.
And might I add, that the Chipper works great too! I purchased the Commercial Moder Lawn Vacuum, & the the Chipper can easily chip branches 1" in diameter and up.
So thanks for the product...I'm sure I'll be using it, or my kids will, for years to come!

"It cut my raking time down from about 40 hours to about 8 hours."
I've been using my DR leaf and lawn Vacuum for 4 years now and I can't imagine life without it now. I use it in the fall and spring for leaf and debris cleanup on a large wooded lot. It cut my raking time down from about 40 hours to about 8 hours. It's tough as nails and I've never had any problems with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase from you folks."
I love the fact that when We use our DR Leaf and lawn vacuum 3 seasons a year.
In the spring and summer we recover the freshly cut grass from our 10 acre front yard. We found the first year we moved to the Ozarks that we had no top soil. We collect the above mentioned clippings and spread them on our garden. Now after 3 years we are finally starting to get some good results for our gardening efforts.
Our immediate front has quite a few mature oak trees, so in the fall we make 3 or 4 passes over the as the leaf get progressively moe intense. We have no complaints on this piece of equipment. The only thing we wish you would add some sort of a bracket to carry the aux. vac. hose we use to clean the leaves out up next the house. Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase from you folks.

I"No more raking for me!"
am so happy that I bought a DR leaf and lawn vac. I was so tired of picking up leaves and small sticks all of the time. Now I just mow and suck up everything. I hardly ever dissconnect the vacum. The machine really is perfect and with the addition of the remote vac hose, even better. No more raking for me!
Thanks,

I"My DR lawn and leaf vacuum has really changed my fall clean-up job."
I am surrounded on all 4 sides by predominatley oak forests. The first year in our house we had the better part of 100 hours into gathering and shredding leaves with 25cc blower/vacs and rakes. Since purchasing my DR the following year, it's about a 15 hour job spent mostly riding around on the tractor. I also use the leaves as mulch in the spring in our flower beds.

"I wish we had purchased the DR leaf and lawn vacuum twenty years ago."
We have two lots with eight large oak trees on them, and they are surrounded by thick woods on two sides. Needless to say, there are tons of leaves in the fall. With our children grown and gone, and age going up and physical abilities going down, raking all of this stopped being an option. After purchasing the DR leaf and lawn vacuum, with the vacuum hose attachment, we can clean the yard and flower beds in a days time. Now, instead of spending two or three days raking and hauling leaves, and doing it three or four times a year, we can get it finished twice in the fall. I wish we had purchased the DR leaf and lawn vacuum twenty years ago.

"...does what it claims to do and is worth every penny..."
I have four acres of semi wooded land that I'm attempting to make into a park setting. When I received my Dr vacuum last fall (07) I did all four acres and it looked great. I used all the mulch and my John Deere Compact tractor made easy work of moving it. I had a couple fellows stop and ask me what that "thing" was and then I had a couple neighbors talk me into doing their yard. They have already asked me again this year. It just manicures the yard and my land. The extension hose makes easy work of getting the leaves out of our plant beds and off the ground cover (try raking ground cover). Now that the leaves are finally all off (always late here in the south) it's time to clean up the "park" again. The Dr leaf vacuum does what it claims to do and is worth every penny, or in this case every dollar.

"BOY, was I ever surprised, it works GREAT..."
For over 15 years I fought the battle of falling leaves from over 30 mature trees of all varieties, oak, pine, elm, gum, and cypress situated on 5 acres. I put off for 6 years buying the DR Lawn Vacuum as I did not believe it would work as advertised. Finally I had enough! How could I go wrong, if it didn’t work I’d send it back. BOY, was I ever surprised, it works GREAT, picks up all leaves with no problem. Attached to a zero turn mower reduces its maneuverability somewhat, but is well worth the setback. One note, be prepared to deal with what's picked up, it’s much more than I anticipated. In my case I do have a disposal area on the property.

" I highly recommend this equipment to anyone who wants a clean and beautiful looking yard year round."
I live in the southeast with 2 acres. This is the only piece of equipment that can handle both the grass cutting in the summer and the leaves in the fall and winter from the oak trees. In addition, the mulch created by this machine from the leaves is the ultimate dressing around the bushes and the fruit trees. I have had this machine for 3 1/2 years and it has never given me a problem. I highly recommend this equipment to anyone who wants a clean and beautiful looking yard year round.

"... I can't believe how well it is constructed; it will last for years!"
I live on a private lake where the homes are all covered with hickory, oak and walnut trees. The land my home sits on is a lease-hold. The Association requires our leaves to be cleaned up NLT November 15 each year so they don't end up in the Lake. Prior to buying the DR Leaf Vac, the chore was an endless task of blowing them onto a tarp, dragging them to the nearest Association burn pile. This, of course, had to be done starting as soon as the leaves began to fall. Now, the chore is as easy as cutting the grass. What a snap. I can't believe how well the vac works; one pass and there is not one leaf on the ground. If I slow down to a crawl, it even picks up the acorns. And I can't believe how well it is constructed; it will last for years!

"Put me down as a very satisfied customer..."
I bought the 13.74 Subaru engine model DR Leaf & Lawn vac in April to clean up my 2 1/4 acres of leaves. There is no grass, just a mix of maples and oaks. My use of the machine is somewhat unusual; with no grass to cut, but lots of tree maintenance to do, I use a Kawasaki Mule 610 to pull the DR. I windrow or pile the leaves with a backpack leaf blower, then vacuum them up with the extension hose kit on the DR. The machine is flat out amazing. The day it arrived, we had just gotten three days of nearly constant rain and drizzle. Not one to wait patiently, I put the DR together in about 40 minutes and put it to work. Raking the wet leaves to the hose, or just hanging the hose over my shoulder, I cleared an area that filled the DR to capacity in an hour and a half. I did experience a few clogs from big clumps of leaves with sticks mixed in, but the slinky style hose is very easy to clear. Several weeks later, when everything was completely dry, I went out again, and in one solid day's work by myself, filled the DR 11 times with dry leaves. If the 90 bag capacity rating is right, that means the equivalent of 990 bags of leaves in a little over 8 hours of steady work. Amazing!! I don't think I've filled that many bags of leaves in my entire life, let alone in one day! My wife was out of town, and was in complete shock when she got home. How many times does a "toy" get mega kudos from the significant other? Our property looks incredible. The neighbors are envious of how little time it takes me to clean up the leaves, and the wife is happy. What more can you ask for? Put me down as a very satisfied customer, and as a contact for anyone who wants to try a DR out before buying.

"My wife finally had a fall to enjoy!"
Super, super! What a nice piece of equipment for the yard - my wife calls it a miracle machine for someone who has "lots" of trees. Money well spent - don't even think of another brand, you are wasting your time/$. We have old oaks all over our 3+ acres. Years past I raked and would either burn in place or transport to a big burn area. The last thing I tried was a lawn sweeper - it ruined by yard because of all the repeated trips over one area. It took me 3 solid weeks of raking, hauling and burning let alone waiting for a non-wendy day or non-rain day in the fall. This baby - it took me 8 hours to vacuum and dump my leaves. My wife finally had a fall to enjoy!

" I have picked up 10 full trailer loads in less than 2 hours... "
I have the Pro package. I have finally had a chance to use my DR leaf Vac for leaves. I live in East Texas and the leaves have finally fallen. I pass though heavy leaves and in one pass it cleans it to the ground. I have picked up 10 full trailer loads in less than 2 Hr. I mean full, the cut leaves would be blowing out the top before I know it. I have so much mulch I don't no what to do with it, Not really. We have turned in to the garden, we have very sandy soil and it is working great to improve the soil. I also used it before the fall to pickup grass in my pasture after cutting. It picked it up and it is like having a loose bailer. We feed it to the stock.

"If you are tried of fighting your annual battle with leaves, you owe it to yourself to get a DR."
My annual war against the leaves has now been won since I purchased my 13.74 Commercial DR Leaf & Lawn Vac last year. With over 70 trees on my 1.7 acres, I use to rake, blow, drag, burn, mulch...but not anymore! Now in a faction of the time, the leaves and trigs are grounded up so fine it won't even burn and the wind doesn't blow it away. Instead of buying mulch, I now use the clippings as mulch around my trees. If you are tried of fighting your annual battle with leaves, you owe it to yourself to get a DR.

"What a back saver and time saver..."
I have done the rake thing for a long time and when I bought this unit 2 years ago and used it for the first time I was just amazed on how well a job this unit does. I have the electric start self propelled walk behind model and just love it. This thing picks up leaves wet or dry and also some limbs, it chops up the stuff perfectly. I would recommend this machine to anyone, I have seen leaf vacs before and also demo'd a couple of others and they don’t even come close to what this thing can do, it suction power is really good, it picks up anything, I have even used it for grass clippings and boy does it make the lawn look nice after that is done. I have to vac leaves up in 4 yards and the hardest thing about using this thing is gassing it up. What a back saver and time saver...Buy it folks you won't regret it...
